About

Hi, I’m Tristina Nguyen 👋

I’m the home cook, keto researcher, and one-person team behind NourishVerve. I’m not a doctor or a dietitian — I’m someone who got tired of keto advice that was either confusing, hyped-up, or trying to sell a miracle. So I built the resource I wish I’d had on day one: honest, simple, and actually doable in a real kitchen.

Why NourishVerve exists

When I started looking into keto, every guide seemed to either bury me in macro math or promise a dramatic before-and-after that felt too good to be true. I didn’t want either. I wanted plain answers: What do I eat? How do I not feel awful in week one? Which “rules” actually matter?

NourishVerve is my answer to that. Every guide here is built on two promises:

  • No fluff, no fake transformations. I don’t post stock before-and-after photos or invent testimonials. If I share a result or an opinion, it’s real and I’ll say so plainly.
  • Researched, then simplified. I read the reputable sources — Harvard’s Nutrition Source, Healthline, Diet Doctor, peer-reviewed reviews — and then translate them into the version I’d give a friend starting this week.

My personal reason for starting this journey was simple: I wanted to break the cycle of being dependent on sugar. As someone who loves home cooking, keto opened up an entirely new perspective for me on using whole, real foods to truly nourish the body.

What you’ll find here

  • Beginner guides that start at zero — what keto is, how ketosis works, your macros, and how to beat the keto flu.
  • Easy low-carb recipes with short ingredient lists and no hard-to-find products.
  • Free printable resources — the Keto Cheat Sheet, Grocery List, and Starter Kit.
  • Honest product picks — only things I’ve researched against what actually matters, with clear affiliate disclosure.

What I am — and what I’m not

Let me be upfront, because with health content it matters: I am a home cook and keto enthusiast, not a medical professional. Everything on NourishVerve is educational, not medical advice. Before you start keto — especially if you’re pregnant or nursing, take medication for diabetes or blood pressure, or have kidney, liver, or pancreas conditions — please talk to your doctor first. You can read my full Medical & Affiliate Disclosure here.
